- The upcoming Hard Rock Las Vegas has filed plans for a new 2,000-seat theater on the western side of its property.
- This five-story venue will cover 179,000 square feet and will include a karaoke bar.
- The proposal is part of two additional entertainment renovations at the former Mirage location, with a grand opening planned for 2027.
The iconic Guitar Hotel towering over the Las Vegas Strip might steal the spotlight, but the interior developments at the future Hard Rock Las Vegas are also expanding significantly. A new 2,000-seat theater has been incorporated into the vision for the old Mirage site, strategically placed on the west side of Hard Rock to connect to an internal promenade.

In addition to this new theater, two other entertainment transformations are already in progress:
- The former LOVE Theater, which accommodated 2,013 patrons during its run of Cirque du Soleil’s The Beatles LOVE for almost 18 years, is slated to become a 5,000-seat Hard Rock Live arena.
- The 1,265-seat former Mirage Theater, once a venue for Danny Gans and later Terry Fator, is being reimagined into an undisclosed new concept.
The application submitted to Clark County reveals that the new “west theater” will add approximately 179,000 square feet to the overall project, with nearly 61,000 square feet allocated for the auditorium alone. The remaining space across its five stories will include 67,465 square feet designated for pre-function and backstage areas, 37,940 square feet for back-of-house functions, and 12,778 square feet for upper-level technical infrastructure. A karaoke bar will also be featured on the second floor.
The plan is set to be reviewed by the Paradise Town Advisory Board on June 30, with a decisive vote from the Clark County Commission anticipated in July.
A Grand Transformation
The $4 billion renovation of the former Mirage into the Hard Rock represents the largest construction venture in Las Vegas to date. It encompasses the construction of the impressive 660-foot Guitar Hotel Las Vegas, a 42-story tower inspired by the company’s famous guitar-shaped hotel located in Florida.
This Las Vegas hotel will comprise 675 rooms and suites, while the complete refurbishment of the tri-tower structure will elevate the total room count at the resort to about 3,700.
Slated for a launch in the latter half of 2027, the property will offer nearly 175,000 square feet of gaming, numerous pools, two luxurious spas, a variety of dining options, along with three major live entertainment venues.
