VEGAS EATERY UPDATE: Sam’s Town Launches Gastropub, Master Kim’s Set to Open at Palace Station


Sam’s Town has unveiled an upscale gastropub named STG (Sam’s Town Gastropub) Bar & Grill, aimed at enhancing the bar experience on the property.

This establishment features a full-service dining area that serves classic American comfort dishes, a bar seating 21 guests, and a 14-seat exclusive dining space. It is a proprietary dining initiative, similar to Bailiwick at The Orleans and 90 Ninety at Suncoast. Boyd Gaming has plans to introduce additional STG locations at several other properties, including The Fremont Hotel and Aliante.

Master Kim’s Wagyu House is set to open soon at Palace Station. This launch will mark the restaurant’s fourth venue in Las Vegas and its inaugural location inside a casino. Patrons can expect an all-you-can-eat model ($29.95-$42.95) featuring conveyor-belt service and robotic servers. While the focus is on meats, the restaurant is also recognized for its excellent vegan and vegetarian selections. The Palace Station website simply states: “Coming Soon!”

Hot Dog on a Stick is making its way to downtown Las Vegas’ Plaza Hotel, as reported first by Vital Vegas. The once-popular indoor mall brand was recently acquired for $8 million by Stephen Siegel’s Amazing Brands, which also owns establishments such as Piero’s Italian Cuisine, Pinkbox Doughnuts, and Bagelmania.

St. Felix Sin City, a dining and nightlife venue that launched in December 2025 at the Bend mixed-use area in Southwest Las Vegas, closed its doors in late June. It was a follow-up to the original St. Felix that operated successfully in West Hollywood for 15 years before its closure in 2023.

Dark Moon Coffee Roasters from Henderson and Smash and Slice from Silverado Ranch are collaborating to launch Giddy Up, a morning-centric establishment offering coffee and breakfast burritos. This new spot will occupy the former SkinnyFats location at 6261 Dean Martin Drive, just south of Allegiant Stadium.

Méraki Greek Grill, one of Las Vegas’ most beloved fast-casual Mediterranean venues, has made its debut in the Arts District at 1551 S. Commerce St., Suite 110. This modern Greek restaurant opened in 2017 on South Rainbow Boulevard and has since expanded to Summerlin, Blue Diamond, Centennial Hills, and Henderson, with another location on the horizon in Henderson.

Health Ratings Update

K Ssam Bap, a Korean eatery that launched earlier this year in the mini-mall at 3909 W Sahara Ave., was shuttered by the Southern Nevada Health District following a routine inspection on June 23, 2026, which revealed 17 health violations totaling 53 demerits.

Chiang Mai Thai Bistro, situated in the Commercial Center at 953 E Sahara Ave E14- E16, was also closed during a routine check on June 29, 2026, uncovering 15 health violations that resulted in 41 demerits.
