Jamul Casino Resort in California has announced the promotion of Kimberly Miranda to Vice President of Finance, elevating her from her previous role as Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of the casino as it aims for sustainable growth and enhanced operational efficiency.
Joining the resort in September 2025 as the Director of Finance, Kimberly Miranda brings over 25 years of extensive financial leadership experience in the gaming and hospitality sectors. Her expertise includes Tribal gaming compliance, capital planning, and enterprise financial systems. In her new capacity, she will manage the resort’s financial functions with an emphasis on financial health, operational excellence, and strategic long-term growth.
“Kimberly is an outstanding financial leader whose skills, integrity, and forward-thinking approach have already made a significant difference in our organization,” stated Mary Cheeks, President and General Manager of Jamul Casino Resort.
“She blends deep technical insights with a knack for modernizing financial practices, developing high-performing teams, and offering strategic direction. Her background in Tribal gaming, capital planning, and financial transformation positions her perfectly to guide Jamul Casino Resort towards ongoing growth and success,” Cheeks continued.
Prior to her tenure at Jamul Casino Resort, Miranda held the position of Associate Director of Finance at Enchantment Resort and Mii amo Spa in Sedona, Arizona. She also dedicated over 13 years at Cliff Castle Casino Hotel in Camp Verde, Arizona, where she progressed from Controller to Director of Finance.
During her time at Cliff Castle, she successfully managed a hotel tower expansion, guided the transition to cloud-based accounting software, enforced compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and Title 31, and maintained the property’s financial stability during the COVID-19 crisis by accessing relief funds, renegotiating debt, and managing payroll amidst temporary closings.
Her financial analyses regarding Tribal compact issues were recognized by the Arizona State Gaming Agency as exemplary references for other Tribal gaming establishments in the region.
Since arriving at Jamul Casino Resort, Miranda has played a crucial role in the property’s growth following its hotel expansion and contributed to initiatives that have reportedly bolstered guest loyalty and heightened industry recognition, including achieving the AAA Four Diamond designation.
