Reality TV star Ramona Singer was removed from the Bravo TV’s first Sin City convention, BravoCon, held at the Caesars Forum conference center in Las Vegas. Singer, known for her role in Real Housewives of New York (RHONY), was excluded from the event after she sent a racially insensitive text to Page Six. The controversy revolves around her alleged use of the n-word in conversations and her insensitive comments. This incident led to Singer’s removal from the convention and her firing from her real-estate firm.

Singer’s text, which attempted to deny her use of the n-word as alleged in an Oct. 30 Vanity Fair exposé on Bravo, practically used the slur.

The controversial text read, “And the word I used was ‘NWord’ Not n-g…” This text was sent to Page Six reporter Francesca Bacardi, who later published a screenshot of it on the gossip site.

In the Vanity Fair exposé, multiple complaints against Singer were detailed. These included allegations of her using the n-word in conversation with a Black crew member, making racially insensitive remarks during a confrontation with Eboni K. Williams, the first African-American star of RHONY, and asking inappropriate questions about Black people during a racial insensitivity training call.

Singer denies all the allegations made against her and claims that the investigation by the network found no basis for these claims. However, her text to Page Six became the tipping point for Bravo, leading to her removal from the BravoCon lineup and her subsequent firing from her real-estate firm.

Andy Cohen Supports the Decision

During BravoCon’s “Ask Andy” panel discussion, Andy Cohen, the host and executive producer of “Real Housewives,” expressed support for the decision to remove Singer. He confirmed that Singer had already been filmed for the upcoming season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Cohen’s comments suggest that they made the right call in removing Singer from the convention and subsequent events.
