Choctaw Casinos & Resorts has unveiled an innovative free-to-play sports betting application with aspirations of eventually obtaining the legal authority to operate an online sportsbook.
Managed by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Choctaw Casinos & Resorts has launched Choctaw Sports, a platform allowing users to predict the results of various sporting events without any real-money stakes. The app provides virtual credits for users to ‘wager’ on a range of sports encompassing football, baseball, basketball, golf, cricket, hockey, tennis, table tennis, soccer, Formula 1, UFC/MMA, and volleyball.
Users of Choctaw Sports earn playful credits for logging in daily and making predictions. Unlike several other so-called free sports prediction platforms, Choctaw Sports refrains from offering in-app purchases for additional gameplay or betting credits.
“Love the excitement of sports but want to experience it all for free? With Choctaw Sports, you can make picks on your favorite games without spending a penny,” states the app description in the App Store.
The Choctaw Sports app is exclusively available to individuals 21 years and older and can be downloaded nationwide.
Tribal Efforts for Sportsbook Legislation
Oklahoma stands out as one of the few states in the U.S. that continues to prohibit legal sports betting.
This impasse primarily results from Governor Kevin Stitt (R), who is at odds with local tribes. Despite being affiliated with the Cherokee Nation, Stitt advocates for inviting commercial sportsbook operators into Oklahoma if the state expands its gambling policies to legalize online sports betting.
The Oklahoma Legislature has concluded its 2026 session, and no citizen-led initiative will appear on the November ballot to amend the Oklahoma Constitution for any form of sports betting. The Choctaw Nation appears hopeful that 2027 will bring new opportunities.
Choctaw Sports not only facilitates user engagement with the mechanics of sports betting but also positions Choctaw Casinos & Resorts to attract potential customers if legal betting becomes a reality.

Expanding Choctaw iGaming
In addition to the free-to-play sports prediction app, Choctaw Casinos & Resorts has also launched a fun money social slots app named Choctaw Slots in 2022.
Furthermore, Choctaw intends to introduce Bet Choctaw, a real money online gaming app that will be accessible to users present at a Choctaw casino location.
Choctaw Casinos & Resorts encompasses a variety of gaming and resort properties scattered throughout southeastern Oklahoma, including locations in Durant, Grant, Pocola, Hochatown, Idabel, Broken Bow, McAlester, and Stringtown.
