Flutter Entertainment has revealed that Dan Taylor will take over as Group Chief Executive Officer, starting October 1, 2026, and will subsequently join Flutter’s Board of Directors. He will take over from Peter Jackson, who will resign as Group Chief Executive Officer and from the Board on September 30, 2026.
Since July 2020, Taylor has held the position of CEO of Flutter’s International division, and he became the President of that division in May 2026. The International division reported over $9 billion in annual revenue and more than $2.2 billion in Adjusted EBITDA for the year 2025.
Under his leadership, the division has seen growth through various acquisitions and operational enhancements, as well as organic development in key regulated markets.
“I am thrilled to step into the position of Group Chief Executive Officer during such a crucial period for Flutter,” Taylor remarked. “Our primary aim will be to consistently meet the needs of our colleagues, customers, and shareholders, while enhancing the progress we’ve made throughout the organization.”
“The potential ahead is substantial – encompassing both current market prospects and those we will develop ourselves in the future,” he further stated. “I can’t wait to guide the organization as we keep innovating, expanding, and leveraging the unique strengths that set Flutter apart.”
As President of Flutter, Taylor is also tasked with overseeing commercial performance across the global portfolio and has been instrumental in developing FanDuel’s sportsbook enhancement strategy, which the company reports is showing “initial signs of progress.”
“The Board is delighted to appoint Dan as Flutter’s next Group Chief Executive Officer,” Flutter chair John Bryant commented. “He boasts an impressive history of delivering results, cultivating high-performing teams, and steering intricate international enterprises.”
“Dan’s extensive experience and expertise within the Group, coupled with his profound industry knowledge, afford us complete confidence that he will excellently lead Flutter into its next growth phase,” Bryant added.
Outgoing CEO Peter Jackson shared his thoughts on his departure after guiding Flutter as Chief Executive since January 2018.
He became CEO of Paddy Power Betfair in January 2018. Shortly thereafter, the company acquired a majority stake in FanDuel, placing Jackson at the forefront of a rapidly growing business as the repeal of PASPA transformed FanDuel from a daily fantasy sports platform into a leading online sportsbook in the U.S.
Jackson also navigated the company through the Covid-19 pandemic, oversaw its rebranding to Flutter in 2019, and most recently, its delisting from the London Stock Exchange. As of August 3, the New York Stock Exchange now serves as Flutter’s sole primary listing.
“It has been a tremendous honor to lead Flutter’s evolution, and I take immense pride in what we’ve accomplished over nearly nine years. Flutter is an outstanding company with a portfolio of top-tier brands, talented team members, and meaningful competitive advantages,” Jackson expressed.
“Having collaborated closely with Dan for several years, I have witnessed his exceptional capabilities in growing businesses, building cohesive teams, and achieving remarkable outcomes. I depart with utmost confidence in Dan, the leadership team, and the company’s future,” he continued.
Jackson will remain with the organization as an advisor until the year’s end to facilitate the transition.
“On behalf of the Board, I also want to extend our gratitude to Peter for his substantial contributions to the business,” stated Bryant. “Under his leadership, Flutter has evolved from Paddy Power Betfair into the world’s premier online sports betting and iGaming operator.”
“He has guided its growth into a genuinely global organization, building a portfolio of market-leading brands and enhancing the capabilities that drive its success. Peter leaves Flutter in an excellent global position and exceptionally equipped for future endeavors,” Bryant concluded.
