A construction worker tragically lost his life while preparing for the highly anticipated Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix set to take place from November 16-18.
The incident occurred at the Bellagio fountains on the Las Vegas Strip, where MGM Resorts International is constructing a grandstand for exclusive race viewing. The worker suffered a severe neck laceration and was pronounced dead at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada’s Trauma Center.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will be conducting an investigation into the incident.
The estimated cost of the track and grandstands construction is around $560 million, as reported by the Hollywood Reporter.
