GeoComply, a technology firm based in Vancouver specializing in digital identity and geolocation services, is set to reduce its workforce by 15% as part of a strategic evolution initiative.

Geolocation Technology Solutions
The organization currently has a global staff of 450. As reported initially by Sportico, this strategic adjustment aims to streamline internal processes, optimize workflows, and foster future growth.
In addition to its headquarters in Vancouver, GeoComply has established offices in Toronto, Montreal, Las Vegas, New York, Seattle, and Warsaw, Poland.
Regarding igaming partnerships, GeoComply collaborates with major players such as FanDuel, BetMGM, and DraftKings.
Strategic Transformation
In March 2025, the company appointed former Flutter Entertainment executive Kip Levin as CEO, succeeding co-founder Anna Sainsbury.
GeoComply specializes in fraud prevention and cybersecurity solutions that detect location fraud and validate a user’s real digital identity to avoid unauthorized access. Their technology also caters to the fintech and media sectors.
The company stated that the layoffs are intended to keep pace with swift changes in the regulatory and technological landscape. Additionally, it emphasized its dedication to leveraging AI for boosting operational productivity.
These modifications come as GeoComply faces intensified competition within the industry.
Leadership Change
Xpoint is a competitor focused on igaming, providing precise geofencing solutions, with clients such as SkillOnNet. GeoLocs is another longstanding player in gaming compliance, used by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for geolocation services.
Radar, based in New York, also specializes in geolocation services, aiding businesses in fraud detection, customer engagement, and developing location-based features in mobile applications, with clients like bet365.
