The attention of the week was focused on Justin Timberlake, who headlined the grand opening of Fontainebleau and shared a photo from behind with his wife, actress Jessica Biel, as they walked back to their hotel room. The pattern on the carpet they were walking on was recognized by only a few people, leading them to realize it was The Wynn they were at, not Fontainebleau. The Wynn then responded with its own Instagram post on Thursday. Rooms at the Fontainebleau were only available to the public after 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, but Timberlake and other VIP guests were able to stay there on Wednesday night. The Wynn knew the identities of its guests but kept it discreet until Timberlake’s mishap. To make matters worse, The Wynn posted an Instagram photo of Timberlake and Biel and captioned it with the cheeky remark “Where everyone ends up. #OnlyatWynn.” The Wynn is known to have had conflicts with Fontainebleau, even threatening legal action against them for hiring its employees in the past. The Wynn later deleted the post after it received backlash for betraying Timberlake, although it was captured by several news outlets.
