Travis Doss, 31, faces 33 child abuse charges and two kidnapping charges, while Amanda Stamper, 33, faces seven child abuse charges and a charge of failing to protect children from bodily harm.

Stamper, who violated her probation, remains in custody without bail. Doss is also held in jail with bail set at $500K.

The children, aged two to 11, were discovered in a messy one-bedroom unit at Extended Stay America on Valley View Boulevard.

According to a police report, the 11-year-old boy found in a locked cage had multiple bruises, swollen shut black eyes, and was emaciated. The boy claimed he was not properly fed.

The alleged abuse included physical assault with belts, extension cords, skillets, and other objects. Stamper revealed that Doss was violent towards all the children, except for a two-year-old.

Doss is the father of all the children, while Stamper is the stepmother to six of them and the mother of the two-year-old.

The children have been placed under the care of the Nevada Department of Children and Families, while the dogs found in the apartment were taken to a local animal control office.

Stamper initially revealed the abuse to an employee at a Walgreens pharmacy, who then reported it to the police. Doss is also facing charges related to sex trafficking and living off the earnings of a prostitute.

A maintenance worker assisted in the rescue of the children by unlocking the door and cutting the padlock on the cage.

Doss, also known as “Trap Montana,” had aspirations to become a rapper and flaunted wealth on social media.

Extended Stay America has not provided a comment regarding the incident.
