A former president of a youth baseball league in Las Vegas is facing accusations of embezzling significant sums of money from his organization, using the funds for gambling at casinos, visits to strip clubs, and even for erectile-dysfunction drugs, as detailed in a police arrest report.
Steve Rodriguez Prado, 38, a resident of Henderson, Nevada, was apprehended on Thursday, July 2, 2026, by law enforcement in Las Vegas. After being processed at the Clark County Detention Center, he was released on bond.
The inquiry into Prado’s activities commenced in March 2026 when officials from the Central Little League of Las Vegas alerted law enforcement about questionable financial discrepancies. Upon examination of the league’s bank records and transaction statements, investigators discovered that Prado allegedly misappropriated over $64,000 in league funds within a span of just under five months.
Police reports indicate that more than $55,000 of this amount was transferred through unauthorized Zelle transactions.
Besides the personal expenditures mentioned, investigators noted that the league inadvertently funded $258 in sports betting at the Caesars Palace sportsbook and $1,284 in charges at the Bellagio’s Baccara bar. Prado allegedly also settled his obligations with the Nevada DMV, Geico insurance, and a gaming subscription service using league funds.

A significant highlight of Prado’s alleged expenditures was the charge of $1,351 to the league’s account for services at Las Toxicas on January 20, 2026. This strip club, previously known as Cheetahs, promotes “the most seductive Latina entertainers in Las Vegas.”
Authorities revealed that Prado’s expenses included an $800 bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila, a bucket of Modelo beer, tips, and a “privacy fee.” Additionally, police allege that Prado spent $294 on Blue Chew, a medication for erectile dysfunction, using league funds.
To conceal his fraudulent activities, authorities assert that Prado submitted altered Wells Fargo bank statements to the league.
The arrest report also mentions that Prado has previous convictions in California, including robbery, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy to commit robbery, dating back to 2012.
Prado’s subsequent court date is set for July 30, 2026.
