A well-known Scottish criminal was killed in Edinburgh on New Year’s Eve, and he was reported to have been in an on-off relationship with the youngest lottery winner in the UK.
Marc Webley, 38, was fatally shot outside the Anchor Inn in the Granton area of Edinburgh, while celebrating New Year’s Eve with friends.
Scotland Yard reported that they got calls about the shooting at 11:50 pm on New Year’s Eve. One person died, and another person, aged 39, was in serious condition.
A police statement revealed that the shooter carried out a targeted attack from a red Hyundai Tucson on West Granton Road.
Celebrity and Misfortune
In 2013, Jane Park, who is now 27, won £1 million ($1.27 million) on the Euro Millions Lottery when she was only 17 and working as an office assistant. She gained fame after becoming the youngest lottery winner in the UK, which she claimed brought her more sorrow than happiness, as she struggled to cope with the impact.
Years later, Park’s life took a different turn, and she became an Instagram “influencer” with a substantial following and her own OnlyFans page.
High-profile Relationship
The Scottish Sun made public the affectionate relationship between Park and Webley in October 2023, but rumors of their break up were reported the previous month.
Park expressed deep sadness about Webley’s death and described how impactful their time together had been. Webley had previously engaged in gang violence and was sentenced to 11 years in prison in 2005 for attempted murder. Shortly before his death, he posted videos urging his rivals to attack him.
