An exciting Top Gun‑inspired attraction that seemed to be extinct is on the resurgence at a new location in Las Vegas, backed by renewed commitments from its developers. Advent Allen Entertainment, in conjunction with Paramount, has successfully acquired a 2.5‑acre lot at 4815 South Las Vegas Boulevard, located just south of the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign.
Records from Clark County verify that the property—located between the Little Church of the West and the Pinball Hall of Fame—recently sold for $12.5 million.
In a statement released on Tuesday (July 21), the developers announced that attendees will engage in a “thrilling mission” featuring cutting-edge flight simulators and immersive ride systems crafted in collaboration with Simtec Systems, a German firm reputed for its premium motion-based attractions.
Further plans include a full-scale recreation of the Hard Deck bar and restaurant showcased in Top Gun: Maverick.
A Change in Course
This attraction was initially unveiled in May 2025, being pitched as a confirmed project for a vacant plot near the Strat with a targeted opening in summer 2028. As 2025 transitioned into 2026 without any groundbreaking, many industry insiders dismissed the project as unlikely.
Yet, much like Tom Cruise in his action-packed films, the initiative has astonishingly risen from the brink of cancellation.
Mark Advent, the founder of Advent Allen Entertainment, expressed that the new Las Vegas location represents “exactly where Top Gun belongs.” He further emphasized that the site “creates a compelling atmosphere where aviation excitement, the essence of Top Gun, and the vibrant aura of Las Vegas unite powerfully.”
Although Advent Allen is a newly established entity with no previous experience in creating themed attractions, Mark Advent is recognized as the driving creative force behind the New York‑New York Hotel & Casino.
Still Grounded
The developers have not yet shared a revised timeline for construction, and the project still needs to finalize architectural designs, secure contractors, and navigate through the permitting process in Clark County before any construction can commence.
Typically, large-scale attractions in Las Vegas require several years to transition from concept to construction.
