A tragic incident occurred during the New England Patriots game at Gillette Stadium. A fight broke out between a Patriots fan and a Miami Dolphins fan, resulting in the death of the Patriots fan, Dale Mooney.

The victim lost consciousness and despite efforts to revive him, he sadly passed away at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Dale Mooney, a 30-year season ticket holder and lifelong Patriots fan, was wearing a Patriots shirt during the game.

Authorities responded to the fight and the incident is currently under investigation by Massachusetts State Police and the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.

An autopsy has already been conducted, but results have not been released yet.

Lisa Mooney, the victim’s wife, revealed that other attendees were provoking her husband, leading to the violent altercation.

Witnesses Speak Out

According to witnesses, Dale Mooney was punched hard on the side of his head and collapsed.

Security was forced to relocate individuals in the section where the incident occurred.

Gillette Stadium officials expressed their condolences to Dale Mooney’s family and stated their cooperation with the ongoing investigation.

The game ended with the Miami Dolphins defeating the New England Patriots by a score of 24-17.
