Turning Stone Resort Casino has launched The Crescent, a luxurious 258-room hotel, which represents the first phase of the tribal destination’s ambitious $400 million expansion.

The Crescent is anticipated to achieve recognition as Turning Stone’s third AAA Four Diamond hotel, joining The Tower and The Lodge. AAA’s Four Diamond status is awarded after random inspections that evaluate cleanliness, style, service, and amenities.
According to tribal representatives, The Crescent features elegantly designed guestrooms outfitted with modern furnishings and lavish amenities. Room rates start at $315 a night, excluding taxes, and Turning Stone does not impose a resort fee.
The Crescent, the resort’s fourth hotel on-site, offers guests access to Turning Stone’s Las Vegas-style casino, which boasts 2,000 slot machines, 66 table games, three bingo halls, the largest poker room in New York, and an expansive sportsbook.
This new addition also introduces another fine-dining option, Salt, which occupies the entire seventh floor. Salt is a culinary endeavor from James Beard-nominated chef Elizabeth Blau, famed for her establishments Honey Salt and Buddy V’s in Las Vegas, and it beautifully unites land and sea in its offerings.
The Crescent is linked to a host of additional amenities at Turning Stone, including over two dozen dining establishments and bars, a comprehensive spa and wellness center, retail shopping, live entertainment, and 54 holes of championship golf.
Center for Conventions
Launched in 2023, Turning Stone is undergoing a $400 million expansion focused on establishing the resort as the premier destination in the Northeast for significant conventions and business events.
Initially estimated at $370 million, rising costs for construction materials and labor have increased the project’s budget to $400 million. A 77,000-square-foot addition to the existing convention facilities is being constructed, along with a new 30,000-square-foot ballroom that offers scenic views of the Shenandoah Golf Course and The Lodge’s Great Lawn.
“In our effort to become New York’s largest resort destination for meetings and conventions, it was critical that we enhanced every aspect of the Turning Stone experience,” stated Ray Halbritter, Oneida Indian Nation Representative and CEO of Turning Stone Enterprises. “The Crescent and Salt exemplify our dedication to providing a luxury and hospitality standard that competes with the best in the world.”
Throughout his more than 30 years of leadership, Halbritter has overseen Turning Stone’s transformation from a simple bingo hall and RV park into one of the largest casino resorts in the nation.
In addition to The Crescent and the new convention facilities, the $400 million project will also enhance Turning Stone’s existing 825 hotel rooms.
Targeting Labor Day 2026 for Completion
Turning Stone aims to finalize the $400 million project by this fall, with the Labor Day holiday weekend as the target completion date.
Joel Barkin, the communications spokesperson for Turning Stone, reports a palpable excitement surrounding the new developments. So far, The Crescent has already booked 12,000 room nights, along with tentative reservations for the newly available event spaces.
