One of the men had an argument with a woman, which led to the security guard intervening. However, the suspects attacked the guard, according to police reports.

One of the suspects punched the guard in the head and the other struck him in the chest, going against the guard’s orders

The two suspects, 25-year-old Devonte Turner and 23-year-old Aspen Kenney, both of Joliet, were taken into custody at around 4 a.m.

Kenney has been charged with aggravated battery to a private security guard and was released with a promise to appear in court.

Turner also faces an aggravated battery charge, and has been transported to the Will County Jail as there were pending warrants for his arrest due to previous offenses, according to Patch.

Indiana Casino Arrest for Stolen Car, Meth

A 46-year-old man is facing charges after being arrested at Indiana’s Bally’s Evansville Casino & Hotel for a car theft that occurred earlier this month.

Kevin Scott Neal has been charged for the auto theft and was also found to be in possession of a glass pipe, suspected fentanyl, and suspected methamphetamine (meth), leading to additional drug charges, as reported by Indiana TV station WEVV. He was booked at Vanderburgh County Jail and remains in custody pending his court hearing.

Five Arrested in Georgia

Last month, five individuals in Georgia’s Turner County were arrested for gaming-related charges after an investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). The arrests were made following reports of cash payouts to players who had won games on coin machines at the casino in violation of Georgia law.

Under Georgia law, players should only receive non-cash prizes, such as lottery tickets or store merchandise, but in this case, cash payouts were being issued instead.

A Turner County grand jury returned indictments on October 10, and the suspects, including Rohitbhai Patel, Sabrina Bolton, Wendy Golden, Sherry Matamoros, and Brandy Euliano were taken into custody on October 30.

GBI’s Commercial Gambling Unit, along with the Turner County Sheriff’s Office, the Sycamore Police Department, and the Ashburn Police Department, conducted the investigation, and the cases have been turned over to local prosecutors.
