VEGAS MUSIC UPDATE: Rush Allegedly in Discussions with Sphere, Marc Anthony & Diana Ross Set to Come Back |

Recent reports indicate that Rush may be the next iconic act to join the Sphere lineup. Speculations about ongoing negotiations emerged last week when Eddie Trunk, a host on SiriusXM radio, shared with his audience that he had reliable information on a planned series of approximately 16–18 performances in 2027 being “a done deal.”

A subsequent article by the U.K. tabloid The Sun supported these claims, citing a source that indicated discussions had been “secretly ongoing for quite some time” with contracts potentially set to be finalized soon.

While no official confirmations have been provided by Rush, Sphere, or their management, it is confirmed that co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have returned to touring with their “Rush: Fifty Something” tour. This marks their first tour since 2015 and the passing of drummer Neil Peart in 2020. They will be joined on stage by drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold, with shows scheduled across North America, Europe, and South America until April 10, 2027.

If a Sphere residency materializes, it could logically take place after the conclusion of their tour and the end of Metallica’s planned Sphere shows in March 2027.

Marc Anthony is enhancing his Fontainebleau Las Vegas residency, as the casino resort announces the addition of eight new performances this fall for “Vegas… My Way!” at the BleauLive Theater.

Tickets for the newly announced shows (September 11, 12, 13, 16, 18, and 19, followed by November 20 and 21) will be available for purchase starting at 10 a.m. PT on Friday, July 24, through Ticketmaster and FontainebleauLasVegas.com.

“Vegas… My Way!” offers an intimate, bilingual showcase of Anthony’s extensive three-decade career, accompanied by a full live band, designed for close audience engagement. Each performance will be complemented by late-night sessions at the venue’s Nowhere Lounge, featuring live sets curated by Anthony band member Motif.

Another Diana Ross Performance

Motown legend Diana Ross is set to return with her “Diana in Motion” residency at the Encore Theater in Wynn Las Vegas from October 2-4, following three sold-out shows during Valentine’s Day weekend.

Tickets will be available for purchase at 10 a.m. PT on Friday, July 24, via Ticketmaster.
