A bartender from El Firme Night Club in Las Vegas is facing charges for attempting to kill her boss in a shooting incident.
Johanna Davila, 50, was charged with attempted murder and conspiring to commit murder following a July 12 shooting scheme, according to Las Vegas TV station KLAS.
She remained in custody this week. Her bail was set at $35K and she’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 4.
Victim Wanted Her Share of Business
The victim, owner of the nightclub on East Lake Mead Boulevard, was trying to acquire Davila’s share of the club, leading to a business meeting on July 13. However, a shooting incident occurred before the meeting.
The victim escaped unharmed after bullets struck his car in the Sunrise Manor neighborhood.
After investigating, police found evidence connecting Davila and another suspect to the shooting. Davila was found with a gun similar to the one used in the incident.
Claimed She Was at Disneyland
Initially, Davila claimed she was at Disneyland Park in California during the shooting. However, she later admitted to being in the area but denied involvement. Police have charged her with the crimes and are investigating the second suspect in the shooting.
No information was provided on the damage to the victim’s car or the involvement of the second suspect.
