Sands China and Marriott International have announced the introduction of the Londoner Grand concept at the London Macau casino resort.
This will be the first Marriott Luxury Collection hotel to be established in Macau. The Londoner, a $2 billion project and a reimagined version of Sands Cotai Central, opened its doors in early 2021. Londoner Grand will feature 2,405 guestrooms and various dining options.
Londoner Grand will introduce five distinct dining concepts to The Londoner Macao, including the Hampton Court international and Chinese buffet, Chelsea Garden offering local and regional Chinese cuisines, and The Conservatory housing a dim sum restaurant, confectionery store, and a British pub bar.
Sands China operates as a subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands.
Londoner and Marriott Luxury Collection
Despite being a relatively new player in the hotel industry, Londoner has quickly gained recognition, being listed on the 2023 Condé Nast Traveler Gold List as one of the top hotels in China. Its partnership with Marriott Luxury Collection could further enhance its reputation.
Londoner Grand is positioned as a flagship addition to the Marriott Luxury Collection, enhancing the image of the Londoner alongside other integrated resorts like the Parisian Macau and Venetian Macau.
According to a press release, Londoner Grand is set to become a landmark in Macao, attracting more international visitors and expanding culinary options for the local community.
Expansion of Marriott Luxury Collection
Londoner Grand is the second collaboration between Marriott Luxury Collection and a casino hotel, following the Bellagio in Las Vegas. The Marriott Luxury Collection comprises only 124 hotels worldwide, with Londoner Grand being a strategic addition to this portfolio.
In North America, there are only 20 Marriott Luxury Collection hotels, all based in the US. Eight are located in the Pacific time zone, with one in Hawaii.
