Red Rock Resorts is set to allocate $385 million towards the second phase of its Durango Casino & Resort expansion in Las Vegas, which will feature a bowling alley, luxurious movie theaters, additional dining options, and various entertainment spaces, enhancing the company’s footprint off the Strip.
Construction for phase two is anticipated to commence in January 2026, with an estimated completion time of 18 months, adding 275,000 square feet to the northern section of the establishment. This phase will showcase a 36-lane bowling alley, an array of new restaurants and food hall options, and an enlarged casino area that will include 400 new slot machines.
The first phase of Durango’s expansion is projected to finish by December 2025, introducing 230 new slot machines. This phase will comprise 120 machines situated in a newly created high-limit zone complete with a bar, along with increased parking facilities to accommodate the anticipated growth.
“Our guests have truly embraced the property, and we are thrilled with our progress to date,” Lorenzo Fertitta, a director at Red Rock Resorts, commented.
Chairman and CEO Frank Fertitta III elaborated that the new features resonate well with what their clientele seek from a neighborhood casino. “Customers expect a variety of entertainment options, including theaters and bowling alleys, among other offerings,” he noted.
The expansion initiative is taking place while Red Rock’s Las Vegas venues outperform some Strip resorts. The company recently announced its ninth consecutive record in net revenue, totaling $468.6 million, alongside a record in adjusted earnings of $209.4 million for the third quarter.
Future development phases may include plans for hotel and convention space at Durango. Company executives are expected to unveil additional property development strategies by late January.
